BETH EL PROGRAM PLANNING POLICY

THANK YOU for stepping forwarding and enriching the community with your program! Before you get started, here is a list of steps to help you with your preliminary planning. A list of publicity options for you to select will follow with the necessary timeline.

1. What: Determine what type of program you want to create, who you would like to reach and what is the goal.
2. When: Decide on a date and time for the program, after reviewing the shul web calendar and also keeping in mind major events in the community (i.e.: Steelers Games, Jewish agency major events, PSO major concerts etc.). Your request will be sent to Steve for further review.
3. Where: Think about the facility and space that would facilitate your program the best. Consider seating arrangements, capacity and the general atmosphere you want to achieve.
4. Who: Create a team and consider partnerships with other groups or organizations. Who is the designated “organizer” and what contact information should be used.
5. How: Start by drafting a budget of expenses vs. anticipated revenue. Create a sequential timeline, working from initial consideration through execution of the program. Document which member of the team is responsible for each task on the timeline. See the publicity options below and check which you would like to pursue.
