Ways To Give
Ways To Give
There are many ways to give to our community and our shul, including volunteering and making donations. Making a donation in honor or memory of a loved one, friend, or special occasion is just one way to give. Any amount you donate is appreciated and will help a wide range of people. If you don’t find a fund that ‘speaks’ to you, or if you have any questions, please call (412) 561-1168 or email Chris Benton to discuss your donation. We have a variety of funds, sponsorships, and programs (listed below) through which you can help our synagogue and community grow.
Did you know that many people donate gifts and money in multiples of $18 ($18, $36, $54…$180, etc.)? This tradition comes from the numerical value of the Hebrew word for life, “chai”. By donating in multiples of $18, the donor is symbolically wishing for or bestowing a ‘good life’ on the recipient. Of course, any amount a person donates is a mitzvah (good deed), so please donate what feels appropriate to you!
DONATE to any number of programs/sponsorships!
